Turn underused space into a new revenue stream
Empire originally operated as a beauty salon with a significant amount of unused floor space. Rather than creating additional treatment rooms and increasing the operational demands of managing more individual beauty services, the owner began exploring ways to make the space work harder for the business.
With no previous experience in the tanning or wider beauty industry, he approached J Solutions to understand how commercial tanning salons operate and whether sunbeds could work within the existing premises.
We guided him from concept to opening, focused on quality over quantity, creating an initial three bed premium setup featuring a megaSun K9S, Ergoline Lightvision and J Sunbeds Zenith Series.

Multiple machines can generate simultaneously
Once the salon was established, the owner quickly saw the appeal of a model where several commercial machines can serve customers and generate revenue at the same time.
Start with three. Build to six.
Just three months later, Empire added another premium sunbed. The salon is now preparing space for two further premium lay down units, which will bring the tanning floor to six beds.
What began as a way to utilise spare space has developed into a significant and growing part of the business.
